The first time I fell in love with the beauty world, I really had no idea about the differences between Toner and Astringent. I used to think that the function of these products are the same: for facial care. I also didnt know that Toner and Astringent cant be used together lol. But as time went by, I learnt that Toner and Astringent are 2 different products with different functions.
Toner VS Astringent - What are their differences? The first time I fell in love with the beauty world, I really had no idea about the differences between Toner and Astringent. I used to think that the function of these products are the same: for facial care. I also didnt know that Toner and Astringent cant be used together lol. But as time went by, I learnt that Toner and Astringent are 2 different products with different functions. 1. Functions TONER's main function is to clean our face from dirt, oil and make-up left overs. Toner can also prevent skin aging, hide black spots and acnes and it also can moisturize our dry skin, even the sensitive type. ASTRINGENT is used to clean and remove excess oil from our face and to close our face's pores. 2. Ingredients TONER is made of natural ingredients like flowers extract or other herbals, it is water-based and feels light when we apply it to our face. Toner usually uses glycerin which can absorb water into our skin. It balances our skin's pH, makes our skin feel relaxed. ASTRINGENT is made from alcohol so sometimes it feels poignant on our face. 3. Skin Types TONER - Usually Toner can be used for all skin types, even the sensitive and dry one. ASTRINGENT - It is good for you who have oily or pimpled skin. Astringent is especially made for skin which have good moisture/oily skin because it can give the dry effect on the skin. Astringent is not recomended for you who have dry skin. So we can conclude that Toner and Astringent are both Face Toner products. We can differentiate them by their functions and ingredients. By differentiating them, we can decide which Face Toner is suitable for our skin type. For me, I prefer using toner to using astringent due to my dry skin How about you guys? Which one do you prefer? Until next post!
