Miss Australia Tegan Martin

Australia was the second country in the world to allow women to vote in 1902, following the lead of New Zealand in 1893. This was definitely a great leadership initiative in a world where women are still constantly striving for equality.

Miss Canada Chanel Beckenlehner
The loveable character of Winnie The Pooh was based on a Canadian bear! A black bear cub from Canada was donated to a zoo in London, England in 1915. The bear was named ‘Winnie’ after his hometown. Christopher Robin Milne, then a child, bonded with the bear cub and his father, A.A. Milne, took this as part of the inspiration for his Winnie the Pooh stories.

Miss Curacao Laurien Angelista
Curaçao is a tiny, yet bustling island, considered one of the hottest Caribbean escapes for travelers. Curaçao has over 35 beaches and a population of 150,000 people representing over 55 different cultures. My native language is Papiamentu, a mix of Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, French, English and Arawak Indian and is spoken through all levels of society.

Miss France Camille Cerf
I love Paris and think that it's the most beautiful city in the world. It's a romantic place and I appreciate the architecture of the city that you can't find anywhere else

Miss Germany Josefin Donat
This year is the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, that was supposed to divide the east from the west. It was a huge step to break down the wall, but there is still a gap between the east and west that needs to be closed.

Miss Great Britain Grace Lavy
Most people know of Big Ben, but few are aware that it is actually the bell inside which is called Ben, not the clock tower. Big Ben also chimes in the musical key E.

Miss Ireland Lisa Madden
Ireland…the emerald isle… the island of saints and scholars. Renowned worldwide for its warm hospitality and home to the world’s oldest field game- hurling! Blessed with a magnificent coastline and rolling green hills, it has been the birthplace of many great literary geniuses such as Oscar Wilde and W.B. Yeats to name but a few.

Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East and all the citizens of Israel have equal rights. Jerusalem is the capital of Israel and it is a very beautiful and unique. It is the holy city for Christians, Muslims and Jews.

Republic of Kosovo is one of the newest countries in the world that declared its independence in 2008. We are known as the "Young Europeans," because the majority of our population are young people with the potential to support economic development and peace in the region.

Miss Netherland Yasmin Verheijen
Amsterdam, the capital city of the Netherlands, is a city that is home to so many different nationalities and cultures. Our former Mayor quotes 'craziness is value.' Most foreigners think that Amsterdam is only recognized for drugs, but that is not true. The average Dutch person works hard and conservative. We all respect each other.

Miss USA Nia Sanchez
America is a melting pot, with so much diversity and culture! I, myself, have both Mexican and German heritage, and feel so lucky to be able to share that with others as Miss USA. As Americans, we have a variety of cultures; that makes life so rich here!

Miss Poland Marcela Chmielowska
Polish people are very sociable and easy going. Polish cuisine is absolutely the best food in the world. Also, the Tatra Mountains in Southern Poland are amazing and have a pleasant climate.

Singapore is an independent, sovereign democratic nation. We are made up of Chinese, Malay, Indian and Eurasian communities, who speak and practice their own language, culture and religion. We live harmoniously despite our varied ethnic backgrounds. Our differences unite us and make us unique as Singaporeans.

Miss Slovak Republic Silvia Prochadzkova

Miss Slovenia Urška Bračko
Slovenia is very green and diverse country where you can find practically anything. You can swim in the Adriatic Sea, drive an hour and ski in the Alps, explore caves, or simply go on a hike. We also have one magnificent lake named Bled.

Miss Switzerland Zoé Metthez
Most people don't know that the capital of Switzerland is Bern, not Geneva or Zurich. We also have four linguistic communities within the country
